Ray makes a move in the Photographic Hole Challenge
The first Major Championship of the Spring Season was held this past weekend when the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) was at Kiawah Island Resort. The competitors were challenged on Turtle Point for the first round and then on The Ocean Course for their final round. Throughout the weekend the player's were faced with mixed weather. Sunny skies on Turtle Point during the first round of competition and on their final round they were faced with rainy and windy conditions which made the Ocean Course even more of a challenge.
One guy that has made a move in the Photographic Hole Challenge Series is Cole Ray of Raleigh, NC., who made two consistent pars to end up at a total of 10 points and to be in second place. Right after him at nine points currently tied for third are Matthew Kemps of Palos Verdes Estates, CA., and Chris Magi of Montreal, Canada.
Top-performers this past weekend was a player who is not new to the spotlight. After having a good weekend and claiming his first points in this series was Aaron Terrazas of Mexico City, Mexico., who made a par and a birdie to get three points and put him on the leaderboard. Other top-performers this weekend was Shota Ozaki of Tokyo, Japan who is currently at seven points.
The next event in this series is coming up this weekend February 25-26, 2012 at Port Royal Golf Club at The Barony Course when IJGT Family Weekend is being held.
