Silva Zamora Conquers Lady Puerto Rico Classic

Nears Georgia Record

Hank Haney IJGA alum Marta Silva Zamora continued her 2011-12 season at the University of Georgia (UGA) by winning the Lady Puerto Rico Classic Individual Title. Silva Zamora finished the tournament at 215 (-3), including a second round 66, to beat the field by two strokes.

It was also Silva Zamora's 6th individual title with UGA, putting her one win shy of tying the Georgia record for career wins.

Silva Zamora graduated from the Hank Haney IJGA in the Class of 2008. Since then she's garnered numerous accolades, including 1st Team All-SEC, SEC Freshmen of the Year, 2009 NCAA Honorable Mention All-American, and won the SEC Championship as a freshman, all in her 3 years at UGA.

Marta's success is yet another testament to the premier training and dedication that students receive at Hank Haney IJGA.
